Lost yourself?

"You own it"

Hi Reader, Have you ever tried to rap? I had a younger person telling me about this "great song" she'd been trying to learn the lyrics to... "had I heard it?" ... erm... yes!

It was Eminem's 'Lose Yourself'. I smiled and gently broke the news to her that Eminem is older than me, and the song came out when I was not much older than her!

She's determined to learn to say it like he does.

It got me thinking about how being skilled, makes things look easy.

Eminem's skill makes rapping look easy, but he can rap 4.2 words per second!

What are your secret skills?

When you're considering a career change, starting a business or finding ways to get paid more, you need to know what you're good at.

"You own it, you better never let it go!"

But how can you know what you're good at?

💁 What do people ask for your help with?

If you're good at it, you often won't think much of it. We can undervalue what we are naturally good at.

⏰ When does time fly for you?

You know when time magically disappears, you're in flow, you feel like you could just keep going?

🤑 You get offers to pay you for something you find easy

It might feel random; setting up a phone, translating a form, caring for plants or animals, explaining a document, online shopping, organising, interviewing, or picking an outfit. If others offer to pay you for it, there's a good chance you've got skills others need!

Feel more confident and successful in your work-life.

You can get a personal plan to find your secrets to success.

"If you had

One shot

Or one opportunity

To seize everything you ever wanted

In one moment

Would you capture it

Or just let it slip?"

I'm still working on my rap skills 🤣 So in the meantime, I can work with you on your work-life!

If you're in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, we can talk over Zoom or phone.

Already a client, friend, or supporter? Yay! Can you forward this email to a friend, relative, or colleague so I can keep doing what I'm good at!

Who sung it this week?... Eminem, Lose Yourself: The song “Lose Yourself” is an anecdote written by Eminem, as it describes his transition from living in a trailer park on 8 Mile in Detroit Michigan to becoming a rap superstar and signing with Dr. Dre.
